Super Bowl weekend is a great time to ski. For the past 25 years I have belonged to a group of 12 guys that have headed to the mountains for friendship and skiing. It has not always been easy to find a house big enough for 12 of us and having 12 separate beds. We have been going to Summit Peaks lodge for the last 8 years. It has a great location with its proximity to many different ski hills. The spacious living space is ideal for a large group. Several in our group enjoy cooking and we are able to utilize the well equipped kitchen for the production of great meals from chili to standing rib roasts. The table is big enough to seat all of us. Prior to finding this house we had tried others. Every one of us has stated that this is the preferred place to stay. The comment I hear the most it that its layout contributes the camaraderie and the overall fun experience. I highly recommend the facility as the owners make it simple and are flexible in booking your dates. Great value for you dollars.

Brad, Our family really enjoyed our stay at your log cabin property. It was very close to the shopping area, yet really gave us the feeling of being in the wilderness. We went on a short hike in the woods behind the property. My wife was very please with the kitchen and the way you have everything "ready to go". We just had to bring in our personal belongings and we were set.

Thank again for your hospitality.

To Say WOW would be an understatement. Our kids initial response was, "Is this whole thing just for us?" This full log "log cabin" was in its finishing stage of a complete remodel so every thing was new and with every amenity you would expect. The amount of space is enormous and would be great
for a multi-family reunion, business retreat or any group needing some private bedroom spaces, large gathering spaces, smaller living spaces and 2 full kitchens. Our week there was in the summer, and we found everything to be within a 5-25 minute drive from the house including biking, white water rafting, hiking, horseback riding, and gold mining. This is a great location for the Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Dillon, Keystone and even Vail areas.

We had a great time in the mountain's of Colorado. The Log cabin was in a great central location, making it so easy to get to all the attention in the area. This was a great cabin for families or several couples that we could recommend to all our friends.

Brad, What a great family vacation!! The house and surrounding area are beautiful. We loved Summit Peak and esp enjoyed our days visiting the sites. The white water rafting and hike up Quandry Mt. was memorable. Of course, the shopping can't be beat. Thank you so very much for your hospitality and sharing your home with us. The Bennie-DeRooi's

Well better late than never. We had a large group stay over spring break last March,2003. I think there was around 20-22 of us. Brad was very helpful in every aspect of the stay. Had plenty of room even with that many people. My group is not as large this year, or I would be bugging Brad again. Thanks for all your hospitality and if I have the need, won't hesitate to give you a call. Thanks, The Kansas group!

Brad was so easy to work with and he really was accommodating to our large group. We were all so pleased with the house - it was beautiful! We got hit with a snowstorm our first night there, and I think most of us were hoping to get snowed in an extra day! Thanks to Brad and everything he did to make our retreat a success! P.S. The hot tub was a big hit!

As a large family we annually rent over the New Year holiday. We have stayed in this home more than once, as it is our favorite. The common space is fantastic for group games and discussions. The bedroom layout is ideal for families. The central location in Summit County is a plus. In addition, the owner, Brad is great to work with.

We rented the north and south lodges together

We just spent 4 nights with 40 relatives at the lodge. We rented the north and south lodges together. We stayed in July and planned on outdoor activities. Rafted the Arkansas River out of Buena Vista with Performance Tours - had a fantastic time. River conditions were perfect for our group, I guess faster water is available in June which we might look for next time but this was perfect for our first timers. Bicycle trails are FANTASTIC in the area. We brought our bikes along but rentals are available. Hiking trails are within walking distance of the lodge so you don't have to load everybody up all the time (as are the bike trails) and the various hikes are perfect for little kids up to experienced hikers. Shopping is readily available and close...I wanted to try the $4.95 Kobe Beef Burger and Happy Hour Specials at the Mint Saloon next to the Outlet but saved that for next time. The kids trout fished - the river or lake dillon is great but we just took them to a small stocked pond just north of the outlet mall about 1/2 mile just left of Blue River Parkway on Willowbrook. Caught enough for a fish fry!!!! Hot tub, scenery, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, shopping, - we just couldn't get enough! (Copper Mountain just a few minutes away offers free chair lift rides in summer) At the end of the day, the lodge is perfect for large meal gatherings, card playing, board games. Bedrooms are QUIET. Mother Nature didn't completely cooperate - had some rare rainy days...that just offered an excuse to relax in/around the lodges. Next time we are hoping for a little more sun though. All in all, it was everything we hoped for.

We had a once in a life time stay at Summit Peaks

We had a once in a life time stay at Summit Peaks. We especially enjoyed accessing the National Forest from the back yard! Our friendly Red Fox visited each morning and we heard there was a resident Moose, but never saw him/her! Our favorite activity was hiking in Wildflower Basin at 11,000 feet above sea level and it was only 15 minutes away from Summit peaks! The next best were the summer festivals at each of the resorts!

Thanks for the memories and we will be back!

We have used Summit Peaks Lodges, both North and South, twice for our family reunions, and both times it has exceeded our expectations! It is in the best location in Summit County with easy access to everything we love to do...hiking, white water rafting and shopping! We love to attend the Farmers Market in Dillion, the art show in Vail, and the beautiful drive down to Glenwood Springs. Some of our favorite restaurants are the Dam Brewery in Dillion and the Blue Spruce Inn in Frisco. We used Brad's chef, Steve, for two family dinners and it was excellent. I highly recommend the seafood lasagna and his desserts are out of this world! We would highly recommend the lodges to anyone (and have)... Thank you, Brad, for your great service. We look forward to seeing you again in June. Sincerely, Mary and Dick Fording (and Family) Davenport, Iowa

I've stayed at many Mt. Resorts in my travels, and I have to say this is one of the nicest, well maintained and friendliest places I've been! The log home workmanship is 2nd to none here! And very close to anything you'd need to make your vacation you've planed all year, well worth every cent! Thank you Brad for your Hospitality every time We've stayed at your wonderful place!! So if you're planning a weekend get away, Hiking, Wild life photography, Family Reunion, or a Ski week vacation, or just getting away from it all, kicking back in the Hot Tub having a cold beer or sharing a great bottle of wine with that someone you just love spending time with! Look no further!! This is the place to stay!! Sincerely a very satisfied & soon to be repeat customer, Rick & Jill Upleger. P.S. We really love the fireplace After a long day of Skiing!!

A Great Place

Our family stayed a few days during the Summer of 2012. The lodge was in the middle of doing a great number of upgrades. It didn't affect our experience at all. We had a great time. It is just what you'd expect in a rustic and comfortable Colorado lodge. Clean, quiet and cozy. We were in Summit County for the purpose of riding the Copper Triangle Bicycle Ride and we wanted to find a place that would work well for location, ease of access to Copper Mountain (the starting/ending point for the ride) and gave great access for the balance of the family to "play" while the ride was taking place. Summit Peaks Lodge worked perfectly. If you compare the value with the typical cookie-cutter resort, there really is no comparison. It's just a better place to stay and enjoy time with the family. The staff worked hard to make sure we not only enjoyed the lodge but enjoyed all that Summit County had to offer. We enjoyed biking and hiking. Further, we found the geographic location to be just the right distance from high-traffic areas. We'll be back! Mike, Lori, John, Ian and Spencer, Englewood, Colorado

August 2012, Thanks again for letting us stay at the North Lodge. A wonderful stay in an awesome place. We've been up so many times it's hard to think of anywhere else we'd stay when family and friends come to town. Fully equipped so you don't need to leave but so close to everything.

we had the most enjoyable 4 nights in Silverthorne at the East & West Lodge. It was a family celebration for my parents 60th anniversary. We had 52 people, ranging in age from 8 months to 82 years. There was something for everything and all within walking distance. The playground and skateboard park across the street were a big hit with the young boys. The walking path behind the lodge was also busy with the boys riding their scooters. The scenery is so beautiful, it relaxes you just sitting and taking it all in. Steve was great to work with and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. Thank you Brad for being so great to work with. I look forward to using it again.
